  1.                     Welcome to WaverlyStreet's ShareCon 2.3

  3. ShareCon is an easy-to-use name/address/phone number program for PCs. It is
  4. designed for use by INDIVIDUALS, but includes provisions for working within a
  5. GROUP environment. The records that ShareCon maintains are tagged as either
  6. PERSONAL or PUBLIC. Each individual user keeps their OWN records, on their OWN
  7. personal computer and/or office network workstation. Entirely at the
  8. individual user's discretion, ShareCon will produce public MERGE files that
  9. other users may incorporate into their own records.

  11. ShareCon makes a great name/address/phone number database program for home
  12. use. Of course, there are lots of other programs that will do that same thing;
  13. the trouble with most other ones is that they aren't any good at all for
  14. business (where you need to share contacts with your co-workers). Frankly,
  15. life is complicated enough without having to know how to operate two different
  16. name/address programs; wouldn't it be better to use the same program at work
  17. as at home? This home/work portability is the MAIN idea behind ShareCon. It is
  18. (quite deliberately) NOT a common-database, network-type program.

  20. ShareCon incorporates a number of features to make it easy to find specific
  21. records, including alphabetical search, word search, and a keywords system.
  22. Each ShareCon record may contain up to three keywords. Use keywords to group
  23. records together. For instance, you might attach the keyword "vendor" to all
  24. the names and addresses of every firm that you buy things from. To get more
  25. specific, you might attach a second keyword (say, "widgets") to those vendors
  26. from whom you buy widgets.

  28. ShareCon requires an IBM-compatible PC running DOS 3.1 or better, about 140K
  29. memory, and free disk space greater than the size of the ShareCon data files.

  43. The program can be used in either "single-user" mode, or record items for any
  44. number of people. Time and money entries may be sub divided into up to nine
  45. different categories. Data may be shared on an office network.

  47. Easy Money is a personal income and expense tracking program. Record entries
  48. under an unlimited number of user-defined categories. A Macro utility allows
  49. automatic recording of recurring expenses and income, such as payroll check
  50. deductions. Can be configured to use either a MM-DD-YY or DD-MM-YY date
  51. format. Prints reports to screen, file, or printer. Reports include simple
  52. bar graph.
